Remington College Cosmetology Salon Students

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll have the opportunity to learn:

Introduction to Cosmetology – STUDY the basic principles of:

  • Anatomy and physiology, sterilization and bacteriology
  • HAIR CARE: cutting lines, color and chemical theory, styling and shaping techniques
  • SKIN CARE: facial and cosmetic science, facial structures and shapes, make-up theory
  • NAIL CARE: manicure and pedicure techniques
  • BUSINESS: legal and ethical considerations, people and management skills

Cosmetology Theory and Practice I – LEARN the fundamentals of:

  • Braiding and styling
  • Wig and hair enhancements
  • Frosting, tipping, highlighting, and framing
  • Skin science
  • Hair removal
  • Advanced facials, manicures, and pedicures
  • Make-up artistry
  • Nail structure and growth

Cosmetology Theory and Practice II – LEARN about:

  • Management Skills
  • Sales techniques
  • Advanced:
    • Hair shaping and styling

Cosmetology Facilities

The purpose of the student-operated clinic at Remington College is to provide hands-on training and customer interaction. Learn by doing in a modern facility serving real clients while working to meet the minimum requirements for licensing.

Remington College Salon

Take a tour of our facilities to glimpse the equipment, complete with:

  • Multiple shampooing and drying stations
  • Nail stations
  • And ample areas for hairstyling or make-up application

This fully functioning and professional setting offers our students an opportunity to practice their skills on real clients. The student-operated facility will accept customers on a walk-in basis or by appointment and services are offered at a reduced rate. All students are supervised by licensed and experienced instructors/cosmetologists.
